Engulfed

Driving back home for sixty miles braving the elements one evening was terrifying

Engulfed

It is so dark
I can hardly see
The thick white cloud
Surrounds me.

It's all above
It's all below
Completely engulfed
In its eerie glow.

It's in the sky
It's on the ground
It's all around
And makes no sound.

Driving in the dense freezing fog
Was very scared
Didn't want to go
Now immersed in ominous glow.

Can't see the signs
Can't see the road
Can't see the white lines
To guide us home.

All mist and inky black
Can't see the trees
Cats' eyes disappear
In front of me.
