Watery graves
Is it really necessary
To name
A hurricane?
I don't think people
Give a toss!
They all do the same
Causing much damage
And loss.
Who cares if it's Desmond,
Jake, Imogen or Kate!
Just look at the state
As Britain now
Is not so great;
Bruised and battered
The tropical waves
Of the Atlantic;
Our Island so tattered.
Our treasured belongings
In watery graves.
