Croatia
It seduced, enticed,
This Adriatic paradise.
With sunsets to die for
And the wars to cry for.
Scenic drives, boats
rides,
Rock dives in gentle
tides;
Sparkling sunlit seas;
Noisy Crickets in trees!
Huge mountain backdrops;
Driven to the top!
And the canyons
yesterday
Took our breath away.
Waterfalls cascade
While swimmers bathed
In cold water they wade
But we went in, got
brave!
White water raft
(We’ve had to graft).
Beautiful black
butterfly;
Quick for a photo I
cried!
Weather was roasting,
Toes were toasting!
On the beach after eight
Or just until very late!
House martens migrate
To a set summer date,
Make this island their
home
Under eaves of stone.
Pretty jewels around
A stunning diamond
crown.
Quaint coloured villages
With old and new towns.
With miles and miles
Of a thousand isles
So pretty and
picturesque!
Pleased to have been a
guest.
Croatia bound
I think we found
A pearl in the sea.
So much scenery
And such tranquility.
Simplicity for you and
me.
