Slim
line sublime
There
are violins, A living thing,
A little Sting
In outer space with double bass!
A full orchestra, some soloists -
And in addition - a classical pianist!
All on this tiny appliance.
What brilliant science!
Angel wings; Beatles sing;
All Four Seasons.
(For many reasons)
It's Raining Men amid Cats and Dogs!
A one in ten with Punk and Mods!
And Baby don't think twice
included on this petite device.
Annoyingly catchy tracks
With Basement Jaxx
A little rap and
You can do magic
All squeezed onto this small gadget.
Some football cheers; Tears for Fears
Broken wings, broken hearts;
Mozart still lives and intro parts!
Psychedelic sixties one by the Pixies -
(Although a little dark)
A love song by Roberta Flack,
Compact and neatly stacked.
Small-town boy - A cuddly toy
Seventies, Eighties, Nineties, Noughties,
Skiffle, Bubblegum - glad I bought it!
All the decades through my life
As I sing along to Mike Oldfield's wife.
All Crammed into slim line sublime.
Sgt. Rock, Synth, big on ballads,
Drink the Elixir - a lesson from Salad!
Guitars, Stars, Life on Mars -
Who will drive me home by Cars!
And download queues
For Blues and Muse.
Propagana, Baby now that I've found ya!
All the things she said - so Russian;
There's even one that's all Percussion
And your song that makes me cry, Rod,
As another tune is added to my iPod.

History?
Am not saying its history
But just suddenly
(And this is a mystery)
That has a hold over me!
After a decade or more
Of the most sublime;
Now wondering what for!
After all this time...
So what to choose?
It’s getting confusing -
There’s nothing to lose!
It is most amusing!
My faith has been tested,
My senses have peaked
And almost infested
Have struggled all week...
Am feeling overrun
Must not be judgemental
This is not just for fun –
Nor Experimental!
It’s a serious change
And my integrity
Needs to rearrange
This new discovery!
So which way to turn -
Am feeling divided?
There’s so much to learn!
Emotions collided
And all entwined
Just haven’t decided
Will have a glass of wine....
Is it XFM or Caroline?
