Getting nowhere
It really is a headache
For a road that goes round and round,
It should be more of a pleasant drive
Like a fairground merry-go-round.
It really is up the junction
From one to thirty one.
It should have taken no time -
Not a never-ending run.
It would be so much quicker
To drive through London town
(Coz everyone's using the m25)
To avoid a near breakdown.
Even though four services
About every thirty miles
It takes forever to get to them -
Like the length of the British Isles.
Known as a car park
Between the three or four lanes
And time wise, not much difference,
To catch a British train.
Avoid the queues of traffic
Use the roads marked A's and B's
See views, nature, and trees
Stop for wees, cups of teas with ease.
The toll is just a steal,
If it’s faulty, you’ll be fined
It's got so very stressful
If this is not paid on time.
Speed cameras must have filmed
Many bumpers to tailgates
Stuck in familiar jams,
A guarantee of being late.
A concrete mass of infrastructure
That causes further queues.
Improvements are a further dread
As the air turns calm to blue.
For the ring road that saves time
So why like this I question
So many more cars on the roads.
There’s just too much congestion.
