Cannot deny

 Cannot deny

You can love a creature of beauty no matter what the breed,

Searching, seeking, looking, finding until one glides at speed;

So quickly it appears, the eye beholds a miracle of nature

Great lengths to take a photo and hope to see you later!

They have got challenging to find, others become so rare,

No matter what the type is - in wonderment I'll stop and stare!

Want you to crawl upon my finger - just for a little while

And the memory of that delicate insect will always make me smile.

So very very pretty, whatever variety you are,

To see your precious open wings (I would go wide and far)

Plant a hundred flowers and weeds to attract you to my meadow

Your beautiful colours you've been given will set a garden aglow.

When you appear you are oblivious to the thrill you give;

Above the oaks, you thrill some folk during the time you live!

Through your life cycle you captivate with your beauty and your grace,

You colour the landscape until the day you pass away or hibernate.

I love you so much butterfly and will do ‘til the day I die

Keep looking low and high for something special - cannot deny.

Cherish every moment, butterflies adorn my dwelling

But where in the future will you be, there is no way of telling.
