Apple
blossom, cherry blossom fallen on the street,
Treading nature's paler colours
underneath my feet.
Leap
to spring, clocks ahead, lighter nights and warmer days,
The arrays of many hues open up with
vivid displays.
Then the carpets in the woods, yellows,
whites, and mauvy-blue,
Walking
through the bluebells feels like magic on my shoes!
Some
snow and iridescent rainbows, rebirth, and all things new,
Butterflies
out of hibernation and hearing the first cuckoo.
Lilly
of the valley, tulips, and snowdrops in the sun,
Pretty yellow daffodils, last years'
bulbs, have just begun.
Come alive and raised their hears in
our gardens and our parks
Crocus in their varied shades find
their way and make their mark!
It is blustery and rainy, our lawn
pretty with some daisies
And buttercups on frosty mornings,
yellow tones, and hazy.
Everything
has come alive after months of sleeping;
The willows’ started weeping the
climbers started creeping.
Celandine, wild
Cowslips. Catkins and wild primrose;
In March keep staying warm and
wear our winter clothes.
Blizzards
of blossom and of snow leave a translucent glow
And
April, all four seasons in one but everything still grows!
The Marigolds and freesias - the fresh fragrance that delivers;
Garlic leaves are ready to be picked
along our streams and rivers.
Spring just comes alive after a cold
winters' rest;
Everything leaps into Spring with new
energy and zest.
Wake
up every morning wondering about the weather,
Will
it shower, shine, snow, or blow - or sometimes altogether!
Are there blue skies, clouds, storms,
or some freezing sleet
But with this lighter season - the
Spring is in my feet!
