I needed another little soul
To fill this loving grieving hole.
It wasn't long, October twenty one
Quite by accident, I tracked him down
So different and from a different town,
Totally opposite from what I knew
And love that grew out of the blue.
I drove a little further south,
Not to the beach but to a house.
I saw your photo, you looked so bright
And wondered if the time was right?
You looked so sweet on the net,
Didn't think, my mind was set!
Had a feeling of no regret and
A loving face I could not forget!
A lovely male, the colour black;
Would you find the comfort on my lap?
You'd miss your siblings that was true
And
hoped to soften the blow for you.
Bought you home, your name a Tom
Know who you are and here you're from
A lively spirit who loves to play,
A domestic type to love more each day.
It wasn't long before your injections
To offer you a little more protection
To keep you healthy from some germs
It really was quite a revelation
That now they'd be no castration!
Now
I know you are a female!
With your pretty looks and fluffy tail.
Your eyes that melt a thousand hearts,
This feeling happened from the start.
You're already loved you pretty girl
