Silver lining...

It's been a month, finally on the mend
Must of driven people 'round the bend!
My neighbour thought I'd broke a rib
With all the coughing that I did!
And so thankful that my two men,
Rallied 'round my bouts of phlegm;
There were at times I felt quite ill
But thanks to that little steroid pill,
The inhaler and the anti b's,
Am feeling a little more like me!
Didn't really want to eat,
Just wanted to disappear under sheet.
The temperature was low grade
But still felt very much afraid
When doctor used a nebulizer-
But what a brilliant stabiliser!
A lovely daughter came over too
Rubbed my back with variation of the flu.
Hoovered like there was no tomorrow,
My head in hand, fulls of sorrow.
Washed the dishes ‘til they shone
Laid in bed and rattled on.
Thought knocking on heavens' door
Stayed a lot of time indoors.
Bought job lot of fisherman's friends
Wondered when it was going to end!

But!

There's always some kind of silver lining
With all the moans and all the whining;
My sexy voice through well used throat
(Didn't want to sit here and gloat)
Is husky, heavy breathing deep,
Income to be made, even while asleep!
So anyone you know with secret phone.
Could be me at other end making groans!
