You ‘n’ me
Just you and me and
secrets that you keep,
You’re under lock and
key, so won’t lose any sleep!
You know all about my
wrongs and rights
And those difficult
plights throughout my life;
Turning back to have
a peep, that opened
My eyes at times that
made me weep.
From you there’s
nothing that’s been hidden
Some things that
should have been forbidden!
Maybe some things
should have been forgiven!
And I regret and am
deeply sorry as there
Have been times I’ve
treated you badly
And sadly, to you I
have not written.
You know of all my
hopes and fears
I’ve shared with you
some laughs and tears
And only you coz
walls have ears!
Another page - a
newer leaf,
I’ll try to keep
precise and brief
With Integrity and my
own beliefs.
You know me
profoundly, inside-out
Everything there is
to know - what I’m about!
After all these years
of pen to paper,
From stress, problems
and all those capers;
Into your safe hands
my frustrations,
Relations, sensations
and some temptations...
You have been renewed
years at a time
You know when I’m sad
or things are just fine
When life gets so
bad, or even sublime!
All ups, downs,
dilemmas, tight spots -
The times I tied
myself in knots
And felt as though
I’ve lost the plot!
All my achievements
failures and aims,
A bad experience –a claim to fame!
Worries and woes with
all my folks,
I’ve been provoked -
my feelings evoked.
For you there will
never be an expiry -
Life wouldn’t be the
same if I had no diary.
