Flea Free
I am now doubly flea-free -
Wot you doing to me!
You applied that vile stuff
While I was eating my tea!
And because of your oversight
With these pesky parasites,
Slept with flea-killing dust
In my powdery bed last night.
Hey you! That isn’t fair
To kill fleas that ain’t there!
That antidote on my fur coat
Stinks and is more than I can bear.
But why on earth is it you
That they’re attracted to?
Must be your repulsive blood
And your human scent too?
Although I do confess -
Riddled with fleas is a rotten mess!
And apologise profusely
About your bitten flesh.
But this time it ain’t me,
So by a way of a sorry
You can serve up some tasty
Fresh fish for my tea!
