And more for Molly!

More for Molly!

I took you in, gave you some shelter -
Saved you from the helter-skelter
Of different people, places to live,
With maybe less time and love to give.

You make me laugh and sometimes smile
And miss you when you're out for a while.
Your little cry, your silent sigh,
Your pretty looks I always buy.

I don't mind that you are lazy
Leave your coat around that drives me crazy
The fact you never use the mat
Leave prints around - it makes me mad!

You're very nervous of the snow,
The wind, the rain, or night time glow!
You'd rather snuggle on our settee
And squeeze yourself between us three.

The vacuum makes you jump and squeal -
You never did like its appeal;
It really isn't a big deal
And wouldn't eat you up for real!

You're placid, calm, unpretentious
And never been that adventurous!
You are so natural and unassuming
And never needed too much grooming.

Black white grey - a pinch of ginger
Your presence around here always lingers.
Glad that you are here to stay
To keep me company every day.

Its taken three years and much time,
To trust and put your paw in mine.
You're soft to stroke and soft to touch
Just to tell you, love you much.

Up to my eyes....

Up to my eyes!

I'm up to my eyes
In apple pies
And apple sauce
Of course!
My eyes open wider
With fermenting apple cider.

Am feeling humble
But mustn't grumble;
There are so many types
Of those that are ripe
And another helping
Of apple crumble.

Stewed, brewed,
Baked, caked
Flanned, canned,
And jammed!
Chutney! Fuck me! - there are too many!
(And didn't even ask for any!)
Frittered, turned over,
Some left over
Freezer full - not planned.

Apples and mustard
Pork chops with custard
Feeling flustered.

Apple juice
Apple wine
Feeling fine
Apple dine
Apple time!
Apple surprise
Apple disguise!
Apple peel...
My eyes feel
Even more wider
Drinking apple cider.

One for the road;
One in my abode;
One for the ride;
Feeling tired.

Everything's blurry
Speaking slurry
Topsy turvy.....
